& COVID-19 Update

AG Dance is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all.

We ask for the co-operation to help us in ensuring a safe and positive environment for all students, staff and parents. We will continue to review our procedures as we continue.

YOU MUST NOT COME TO CLASS WITH ANY COVID SYMPTOMS.

IF YOU DISPLAY SYMPTOMS AFTER BEING AT DANCE CLASSES YOU MUST LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY.

DROPPING OFF/ PICKING UP

  • All students will be dropped off and collected from the front door of the building.

  • Parents of children between the ages of 4-6 years who need to be assisted into class can do so wearing a mask but then must leave to allow the class to commence.

  • There will be no access or waiting area for parents.

  • Should you wish to wait for your child outside the building you must socially distance 2 metres apart.

  • Please do not arrive too early or too late for classes to minimise people waiting.

    TIMETABLE

  • There will be some slight adjustments to the timetable to allow for fluid drop off and pick ups.

  • Class sizes will be limited to adhere to social distancing so please make sure you have registered for your classes in advance by email.

  • Classes will all finish 5 minutes early to allow for a swift exit and cleaning/sanitising of all contact points ready for the next class.

  • Where a student is in consecutive classes, they will be allowed to stay in the room.

  • All classes are scheduled to take place in person, however in the unfortunate event that they cannot take place at Samuel Ryder due to further restrictions, they will not be cancelled and will be taught remotely via ZOOM.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • AG Dance and the venue management will make sure the working environment is clean, tidy and free from hazards prior to classes commencing and in between each class by AG Dance staff.

  • Hand sanitisers are available within the venue and students and staff are encouraged to use these on entrance along with regular hand washing.

  • We ask that belongings are kept to a minimum and only essentials.

  • Students are to arrive in their dance uniform, ready - no changing facilities available.

  • Water may be bought to class in a sealed/labelled bottle.

  • All students will be made to stand at a distance of 2 metres apart and will stand in lines that are alternated as to not be in each other’s airstream.

  • Students over the age of 11, are required to wear a face covering in the communal areas before and after classes.

  • The windows and internal doors will be kept open to allow for maximum ventilation.

  • Toilets will be available for students only where necessary and these will be monitored by staff to comply with social distancing and cleaning.

  • Please ask students to use toilets at home before coming to class where possible.
